Ahua

Dark Schneider

Mahone

Youngker

Justine Quin

Merry

Peach

Soar

Having three students named "Apple" this semester is interesting, but they are all in different classes so that shouldn't be difficult to sort out. Dylan thinks the prevalence of Apples has to do with Gwnyth Paltrow and her baby, but it could just be a name that sounds cool to Chinese people. I notice that nobody took the name "Carrot" or "Celery" but it wouldn't surprise me if I did stumble upon suchaone at some point. Dylan had a student once named "Popeye". It was a girl.

Do you have a hard time keeping a straight face when calling students by their English names? Tity? Bad Boy?

I made Bad Boy change his name. Also, I think some of the other students caught on to the "Tity" problem since whenever I called her name, there was an epidemic of giggling.

Vampire, huh? That's pretty good!

I have created a list of English names and their meanings (well, two lists, one for men and one for women) so that students can make an informed choice. We'll see what they come up with!
